Secured Parking
On site parking. The driveway has room for four cars. The garage (upon request) fits two cars.
Loadshedding
Sunny Bank is equipped with solar panels and a battery. During loadshedding, you can use electricity almost as normal (except for heavy machines like the washer, dryer, oven, aircon)
Kitchen and Braai
In the kitchen, everything is available for making a home-cooked meal. For the real African Braai experience the villa offers two options! You can find a dishwasher in the scullery. The kitchenette is equipped for making a small meal. Nespresso coffee makers can be found in the kitchen and the kitchenette.
Washer & Dryer
Washer and dryer are available in the scullery next to the kitchen.
Pool & Spa
The courtyard pool is heated! In summertime, the quality of the water is checked weekly (bi-weekly in winter). We use mainly salt and use as few chemicals as possible to keep the water fresh. Please note that the pool is not equipped with a safety net. The 6 pax spa on the roof terrace is always warm and ready!
Bedroom Comforts
The master bedroom has a lovely king-size bed. The other bedrooms have two single beds each. All beds are high quality, extra length, box springs. The bedrooms have aircon (also for heating) and/ or a ceiling fan.
Bathrooms
All bathrooms at Sunny Bank offer lovely (walk-in) showers, vanity tables/sinks, and toilets and are supplied with hairdryers. The en suite bathroom in the Master Bedroom has a double sink.
Office and Gym
On top of the garage, a multifunctional room can be found. The room is an ideal quiet place for those who have to work or study (if not distracted by the magnificent view). Want to stay in shape? Various machines for your fitness routine are available. Job done? Workout finished? Enjoy a game of pinball, the spa on the patio, or relax on the sunbeds!
Flora and Fauna
Enjoy the beautiful indigenous garden! The irrigation system (on borehole water) makes sure there are plants in full bloom throughout the year.
Our garden is often visited by porcupines, mongooses and guinea fowls.
For the chess players: you will find a XXL outdoor board. You can challenge your opponent with the best view ever.
Safety and Security
Although Noordhoek is considered a very safe area we have secured the garden and house with an electric fence, laser beams and an indoor alarm system. In case of an emergency, there is 24/7 armed response.
Service
Our caretaker is always close by to assist you. Weekly cleaning by our regular domestic help is included. Our gardener works around the house two days a week.
Checkin & Checkout
On your day of arrival we will make sure everything is ready as from 15.00 o’clock to check you in. We ask you to check out before 11.00 o’clock after your last night at Sunny Bank. Early check in and/or late checkouts only upon request/availability.
Take care of our house and mind the neighbours
Strictly no smoking inside Sunny Bank, please. In principle, we have a no pets policy. Sunny Bank is situated in a rural area, but we do have neighbours. Please respect the peace of the nice people living in the street.
